Tribulation Theories
Pre~ / Mid~ / Post~
-
Pre-Tribulation believes Christians will be gathered to the Lord before the Great Tribulation.
-
Mid-Tribulation believes that Christians will endure the first 3.5 years of the Tribulation.
-
Post-Tribulation believes that Christians will undergo the Great Tribulation just as everyone else will. Believers will be gathered to the Lord at the second-coming of Christ.
Pre~ or Mid~ Tribulation?
-
The Church is mentioned more than twenty times in the first 3 chapters but not after Revelation 4:1. If Post- were true – wouldn’t the Church have been mentioned thereafter?
-
Pre-or-Mid is more consistent with God’s grace, love and mercy.

Jesus rescues us from wrath. (1 Thessalonians 1:10 & 5:9-10)

The Paul’s letter to the Thessalonians
-
That day will not come until the rebellion (THE falling away or departure or abandonment of truth) occurs and the man of lawlessness (or “son of perdition” or the antichrist) is revealed. (2 Thessalonians 2:1-8)
-
** 2 Thessalonians 2:1-8 – Don’t let anyone deceive you in any way, for that day will not come until the (The falling away or departure) rebellion occurs and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the man doomed to destruction. . . . For the secret power of lawlessness is already at work; but the one who now holds it back (the Holy Spirit) will continue to do so till he is taken out of the way (not removed).
** The power of the lawless one is already here – but not yet revealed. The Holy Spirit is holding the lawless one back until the proper time – God’s time.
** When the Holy Spirit is taken out of the way – so are we. I believe this is The Rapture because the Holy Spirit is sealed within us and cannot leave without us. Noone can break the seal of God.
** However – We may see the antichrist but probably won’t know that it is him because the Holy Spirit hasn’t been taken out of the way for him to reign.
** The Holy Spirit will NOT be removed because the Holy Spirit will bring others to Christ during the Tribulation.
